FORDSON Dexta Farm Tractor
The FORDSON Dexta tractor is a smaller machine compared to its predecessors. Many of the 32-horsepower utility tractors are found in collections of vintage farm machinery. The FORDSON brand was used for tractors made by Ford between 1914 and 1964. Although production of FORDSON tractors ended in the United States in 1928, it continued in the United Kingdom. The FORDSON Dexta was built in Dagenham, England from 1957 to 1961. Built to compete with the successful Massey Ferguson 35, the Dexta was available in the United States as the Diesel 2000 tractor. Other versions of the tractor included a narrow model and an industrial model. A Dexta Special version was also made for the German market.
