About BARMAG

BARMAG was founded in Barmen, Germany in 1922 by two synthetic fibre producing companies and was originally called BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AG. BARMAG was one of the very first companies in the world to design and manufacture machines for the then brand new chemical fibre industry. Expanding rapidly, the company added yarn spinning machines, spinning pumps, button thread machines and spooling machines to its portfolio and soon found it necessary to move to larger facilities. During the fifties, BARMAG produced its very first texturing machine and began to expand into international markets.

Today, BARMAG has a major presence in countries across the world including the USA, Switzerland, Brazil, India and also China, which is one of the company's strongest export markets. Ever since its inception, BARMAG has been renowned for its innovation and technical expertise and is constantly refining its research and development processes. The company is dedicated to providing products of the highest quality and efficiency.
